About Aaron
Aaron is a performer, teacher, and composer based in Washington. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from Central Washington University, where he studied with Mark Goodenberger. He is currently the Percussion Instructor at Whitman College, where he teaches applied lessons and studio courses for undergraduate students.
As a performer, Aaron has most recently played with the Walla Walla Symphony and Mid-Columbia Symphony. He often collaborates with the Mid-Columbia Master Singers and Mid-Columbia Musical Theater. He has also built a private teaching studio, giving thousands of lessons on piano, percussion, or general music to kids, teens, and adults over the past five years.
He teaches percussion in elementary and secondary schools around the Tri-Cities area, and works with high school marching programs as an instructor, designer, and arranger. He also started and directs the indoor percussion program at Hanford High School in Richland.
Aaron writes and records original music. His solo piano album Postcards (2020) has amassed over 100,000 streams worldwide, and through his “Piano Portraits” commission project, he has created dozens of original works for clients.
